Calm Before the Storm

So the pressure of running has lightened, I haven't had any editing to do in almost three weeks (the book I was supposed to get was delayed), and my kids have been sick (still!) so we've been hanging around the house.

I've gotten some random projects done and, even though I feel like I'm going a bit stir crazy, keep trying to remind myself that things will probably get busy once again.

On a brighter note, I did a 10-mile tempo run tonight. It was supposed to be a marathon pace. Holy cow! I finished in 1:25:45 with an average pace of 8:34 per mile. That is way faster than I expect to run in Grand Rapids but I can say it felt pretty good other than the point where I heard a big dog barking, jumped, stopped, looked around, and realized it was background noise on the podcast I was listening to. It wouldn't be bad, but the car traveling the opposite direction saw the whole thing. I'm just glad it wasn't the real thing.

Yeah, SURE you don't want us to move. You're working harder than our realtor!
OK, so who is it? A waaaaay better potential neighbor?
I'm dying of curiosity over here!
