A Relaxing Monday

Ah - today was a breath of fresh air. I usually am working but haven't gotten anything to work on so I cleaned up my house, found the missing library book I've been looking for, got in a five mile run, organized Tour de Max stuff, and am now just sitting. I needed a day like today.

Congratulation to blog buddy Rick who is now officially a marathoner. He finished the Glass City Marathon in 4 hours 38 minutes (beating my first marathon time by one minute). Way to go. Hopefully he is now warm and, while walking a little funny, feeling much better. You may have seen this, and I may have mentioned this before, but check out this commercial for the Flora London Marathon, which was run yesterday as well.

Finally, I just have to say, we ROCKED in church yesterday. Denver Bierman and the Mile High Orchestra performed during our morning service. The place was packed out and it was great! Denver grew up in up our church, although we started attending after he had started the Mile High Orchestra. They are so much fun to watch and so sincere. He talked a little bit about being on The Next Great American Band on Fox last year and just played a ton of music.

It is about time to pick up the girls and then off to soccer practice for Kate this afternoon. It is still a little cool here - temps in the 40s - but the sun is shinning and the forecast is for much warmer weather this week, maybe even close to 70s. Yipee!!!

Thanks for the congratulations! It was a tough first marathon in more ways than one. Oh, my "official" time was 4:37:59. Hehe. I'll leave it as 4:38 though, that way my PR will look that much better in my next one.
:)

Hope you're having a great week! Enjoy the B-E-A-Utiful weather.
